Am I the only one going stir crazy, waiting for season to get here?
I have shot my bow to the point that I see my sight pins when I close my eyes. I have memorized my maps of my out of state tag units. Put enough waypoints on my Google Earth maps, such that I can't sort through them all. I have been working out, training my dog, have cleaned my rifles to within an inch of their lives, bought a few "can't live without" hunting doodads, driven my wife to near divorce, and many other irrelevant things unrelated to hunting.
Wife claims I need mental help. Hell, I knew that before she said so (for the sixth time this week). I tell her that help comes in the form of hunting. Not sure she agrees, but when I am gone, at least she doesn't have to deal with me.
Tomorrow I am going to the range, as I think I have corrected one little tweak to my .270WSM. That should take three hours. But what about the rest of the day?
Guess I will have to keep dropping in over at MM and pissing off whitetail baiters, high fence shooters, and others who seem to have really thin skin. Not sure how a good guy like Browtine puts up with the soft psyches over there. The mods there must have their hands full.
Anyhow, am I the only one with this "season can't get here soon enough" problem?
What do you guys do to pass the doldrums of summer?
Too hot to fish. I don't golf. Doc says I can't drink beer anymore. Doesn't leave much else, does it?
I must be friggin' bored, or nuts. Yup, nuts. Wife just confirmed again. Officially declared, I am nuts.
