Future hunting trips

2027 is a Africa trip going to Namibia with my Dad, brother and a uncle. Going to wyoming for antelope and deer in the next few years. A huge barbary ram is a must... pry haft to pay to hunt private to get that done.. Can't draw a barbary tag to save my life... a big ks whitetail is another one, I've went to ks twice and just had bad luck on my side when its came to the big boys walking in front of me... slight possibility I might go this year but pry not..

I love it man.

For years I have had dreams of doing a DIY fly in hunt for either moose or caribou in the boonies of Alaska. DIY meaning become a pilot, buy an airplane, and fly myself into an area for the hunt, and then fly back out with meat in the belly pod and antlers on the wing struts. I'm getting closer. At this point I've got the license and I've got the airplane. I think it will happen in the next 2-4 years.

I’m Gonna stowaway… hang with carabiners from the landing gear or something…
Like James Bond…

Future hunts? My middle son will be 10 next season and can hunt for two years before hunters education. Hopefully he’ll connect both years, his older brother only connected the first season and not the second. I’d say my oldest’s first real hunt as a certified hunter but he’s shown no interest in doing hunters ed and continuing hunting. Trying to press him for the class even if not to hunt in the near future. Dream hunt for me is Alaska anything. Mainly archery moose. Trying one raffle ticket at a time..

One hunt I’ve always wanted to do is an archery deer hunt on lake of the woods Ontario, from a houseboat! About 10 years ago when we lived in northern Ontario we rented a houseboat on LOTW for a few days and it was an amazing trip. All those hundreds of islands had lots of whitetails on them. The place we rented from would also rent out the boats during hunting season and that has always sounded like a really fun way to hunt. Super comfortable accommodations on the boat, cruise around and hunt different islands, and of course, fishing whenever you’re not in the woods! Not sure when I’ll ever do it, tags are OTC, but financially it’s a little ways off.

I've got a spreadsheet with a rolling 6 years of western hunts planned for my son and I :)

Seems pointless to list the hunts as my plan changes continually. But I have enough points to hunt deer, pronghorn, bear and elk that I don't plan to get bored.
