What trucks do you regret selling?

First gen. Toyota Tacoma TRD Crew cab with the little 4.7 V8. That truck was awesome. Put 380k miles on it then traded it in for a new Tacoma in 15. I should have kept it and just replaced the engine if it ever gave out.

There are 3 over the years that I wish I still had, the first was not really a pickup but a 1964 ElCamino, 283 4 speed 48,000 on the clock when I bought it. The next was a 1979 GMC High Sierra, 350 with a granny low four speed, my first new vehicle. The last one was a 1961 Ford Unibody Custom Cab, I have seen a lot of Unibodies but only one other Custom Cab.

I think nostalgia makes us regret selling vehicles from our youth. I had 1976 Chevy Blazer I would love to have now but remember being happy when I sold it. I also had a 76 Camaro and 69 Pontiac Grand Prix that would be fun to have still.

I think we'd like to have them back as a 2nd or project vehicle. I doubt most would want to go back to having them as our daily driver.

My first truck was a 1970 Chevy C10 with a 350. Manual 4 speed with a granny 1st gear. That thing would move, and then wouldn't stop because the tires were bald and I was too young and poor to replace them. It was my grandpa's then my uncle's, then mine. I left behind and eventually sold it while moving across the country. I wish I had it now to slowly wrench on with my son.

I sold my 92 F150 when I was broke many years back. I see a few similar ones still driving around town. Really wish I kept it.

Really like my current '26 AT4X 1500 but hindsight being 20/20, I sorta wish I'd kept the 2023 2500 AT4HD another year & traded for the one of the '27 1500 AT4X's with the new 6.6 475 hp engines. I could have done w/o the '26's 6.2 engine failure at 2800 miles.

Most of the issues were with the crankshaft and bearings failure. mtmuley

The 5.7 is purported to be 400 hp Dale, not shabby. I’d be interested in mpg claims.

400 horse is a good amount of power in a 1/2 ton truck. Mileage numbers not out yet? I've always said mileage and full size trucks don't go together. mtmuley

The 2500's, in 2027, stay the same...I believe the SUV's stay the same also

Ive entered the phase of life where I dont want the thought of a breakdown to cross my mind.
Chalk it up to not getting sentimental, or the fact that im not particularly mechanically inclined.
I had a '93 Dodge Cummins( square front end) which I really liked, but the fact i commuted daily on two of the top ten shitty gravel roads in Gallatin County shook the poor girl apart. It also would get stuck rather easy. Bought it off a rancher in Springdale who was snotty about letting me even hunt upland.
Miss the bench seat the most.
