I picked up the mail today and saw a letter to my wife from FWP. Assuming it was some sort of survey I opened it, lo and behold, I forgot we put her in for a bison hunt. That lucky girl drew one of the either-sex tags for the Gardiner area in the early hunt which is extended this year to go from Nov 15-Jan 15. Thank you mailman!!!

lol, that how I felt about the elk when I moved up here to Montana. I was used to our tiny white tailed deer in Texas - the natural ones that arent on steroids. Then I get a mule deer in NE and thought that was big. So when I am processing the Montana elk, I kept thinking, I may need yet another freezer.

Clearly, not everything is bigger in Texas!

Congratulations on the tag, hope she is able to find one. That would be an experience.
