Well I wish I posted more on this forum because its awesome here but I've been going through some health issues. In October I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Brain Cancer which being 28 and healthy took my by surprise. Now after all the Radiation, Chemo and drugs i'm now in remission. Now another fight begins with my employer who fired me because i didn't have any sick time left and our VA. Our Veterans Affairs up here is horrible to deal with but according to the Doctors i was exposed to something in forgotistan which may have caused this. I also had 2 other friends in the same company die from almost the same cancer, I caught mine in time. But apparently the VA doesn't like to connect the dots.

Now though because I missed practically my entire season and with a empty freezer. It's time to set goals for next season and shoot the bow again everyday........ and post more here.

Life is more important than a full freezer.

That is trainwreck and you overcame.

Best wishes forever.

I am proud that you accomplished this.

Thank you for your service. Very good news that you caught it early, there will be other hunting seasons. Your life is more important.

Consolations. My best wishes to you and your family and may your 2017 be a damn sight better than the year prior.

Glad that you are in remission. Thank you for your service. It's a shame the way our veterans are treated by the very people that are there to help them.

Wow. Glad to hear you were able to conquer the obstacles of 2016. Hope you are also able to conquer the obstacles that you are still facing.

Great to hear you are in remission. Hope it continues to be that way. Good luck in all you do! I know it's just one post, but you appear to be handling this with much more grace and decorum than I could have. Hats off to you!

Good on you, Rainer ... your strength allowed you to prevail. Looks like you have your head on straight and the right priorities.

Thank-you for your service and sacrifice. 'Hope to see more positive posts from you.

As a cancer survivor, I can say that it can be beaten. You will be in my prayers and I wish you the best. Thank you for your service to our country.

Beating that evil is cause for celebration. Keep on the check ups and do what your doc's tell you. Make sure you get the rest of you checked up as well.

Here's to good hunting next season!

as a fellow VA victim, I would tell you to just get a a VA lawyer. It seems without a letterhead nothing happens. Many will do it pro bono or you can give power of attorney to the DAV.

and glad to hear about the remission. I have dealt too much with cancer in my own family recently and am happy to hear someone winning the battle.
