Headed to Eatern Washington to hunt Quail and Chukars last week.......

Get on top of places that look like this and you'll find Chukars......

Close up of the neat volcanic formations that make this part of the State so dramatic..

Run like your possessed up to the top to see if there are Chukars there...and then back down to make sure you don't miss anything..

This was Indian Country long before we got heree so keep a close watch out for stuff like this...

Must have been lucky cause we got into birds almost immediately after finding it....

Stay well hydrated whenever the opportunity arrises..

Watch close for Quail scattered on the hillsides....

Keep close tabs on the dog...they can really disappear in the thick cover here....

Wildlife abounds....don't forget to check it out whenever possible..

These ladies are pretending they aren't impressed by the boys..

Nice photos!!!!

I've always wanted to find an arrowhead...no luck yet. Some people find lots of them.

Great pictures Steve. Is that in the Asotin Creek country? I have chased a lot of chuckar in there, and almost always run into some sheep. Congrats on the birds. Those little guys are always earned.

Great pictures and looks like tons of fun. I think the dog was taking a break while icing his foot. ;-)

Those sheep are on the Columbia....

just north of the I-90 bridge.....Better Chukar number over in Asotin County but more "feel free to hunt" opportunities for them mid-State....

Steve

Used to spend a lot of time in Asotin County when we used to go over to visit wife's grandparents in Pomeroy and hang out on the farms. Great area!

Well done Steve. Great way to document your hunt. I think you captured the essense of the hunt perfectly...
