What trucks do you regret selling?

What is on that engine stand? mtmuley
That plus the transmission below it will be my attempt to modernize the truck. It's an aluminum 5.3 and 4l80e transmission. The only holdup is 97k miles hasn't been enough to make the original 350 show any signs of not being reliable.

Thought that's what it was. Rebuild the 350 and fuel inject it. mtmuley

I think that's why it's already so reliable. It's an 87 model, so it's the first year of factory fuel injection. Dead simple, weak as pond water, but will crank up and cruise the highway at 75mph any time I want it to.

I figured it was an 87 from the dash picture. Gotta love the original 350. mtmuley

I’m the type of mf that will ride a truck until the wheels fall off. My last truck I drove until it literally could not longer turn left. I love having a beater truck that’s still reliable but I don’t have to worry about scratches and dings with.

I’ve never really regretted selling a truck, but my current truck I regret buying. 2006 GMC Sierra with $163k miles on it. I paid $8k for it last October and have put probably $6k into it to keep it on the road since then. It stranded me in Wyoming and I got ripped off by the GMC dealer in Billings. It also stranded me on the MN/SD border this summer. Broke down two other times as well but at least I was within an hour from home those times.

And the worst part is I am STILL debating on whether or not I should buy a new one before Fall starts. I have the money for a new vehicle, could afford one much nicer than I currently drive but I just HATE buying new vehicles and spending money on them.

To make matters worse, I drive a work truck 5 days a week, sometimes on weekends. So I barely drive it and it still keeps breaking down. Okay rant over

I would dump it and get another used one. Maybe one with less miles.
