Cost everyone. War has the effect of stifling development and investment from people with the money to do so. We aren't wealthy by any means, but we had plans to spend some real money traveling in our early retirement years, and put local folks to work building things...none of it is something we want to tackle due to all that's gone on. Worst thing that can happen is to lose a bunch of your next egg right after you retire.

Coupled with the dampening effect on markets and tariffs leading to prices rising, it's the trifecta of what not to do ahead of midterms. Add in Epstein, Greenland, Venezuela...people are starting to recall why they got tired of the incompetent circus in Trumps first term.

I ran into two people I know well who lean right and voted for Trump who are flat out angry now. Both of them also said they fear what Trump is doing being repeated by a far left regime they are certain will take over after this mess. I found it hard to disagree, although I would like to hope Dems are not so literally incompetent in --well, everything.

It’s kind of unfortunate. It’s the typical few that constantly turn every topic into a chit on trump thread. I’m all ears on logical arguments for opposition or support for the Iran invasion. I’d greatly appreciate intelligent discussion from different viewpoints on the subject. HT spans multiple generations with a diverse set of expertise, backgrounds and viewpoints.

People have forgotten how to debate. It usually starts with stating a position then defending that position with a few logical points. There’s a few that do it but there’s a lot of BS to filter out inbetween.

I get it’s hard to separate some of it but damn. This place is tough to hang around because of a small group that like to use this platform to beat their chest about how their team’s better than the other. Randy has a lot more patients than me.

Yall know I’ve tried to keep this open as long as I could and keep editing out derailing posts to keep it going, but some of yall keep going outside the lines.


I wish some people would realize it is easier to delete evening not hunting, fishing, public land, conservation related. We are pretty much at that point, but we try to let extra dialogue go every now and then. This thread has run its course.
So for those of you who kept this thread going well for the most part I appreciate it.
