US and Israel attack Iran

I installed a rear winch on my Ranger northstar last year. Winched 3 gutted elk and 2 whitetail in one trip. Probably one of my favorite gear purchases of the last year.

I’m on a handful of hunting/trapping forums. Both are my passion in life. Is there such things as political / medical forums out there? It’s amazing to me how many poly science experts and dr’s we have on all these outdoor forums. You can get a cure for gout over on trapperman and end the national deficit on huntalk. It’s amazing!

It is the internet, after all.

One way or the other, today is a huge fork in the road. There is no way to easily go back. There is no way to know how well it turns out. Recent history suggests it will be very expensive, a quagmire, and ultimately, a failure.

Text thread this morning read “We are in the fight. Prayers for…. and the troops under his command.”

This well known Hunttalker shall remain unnamed for his safety and safety of his fellow soldiers.

Prayers for the men and women of our military in harms way and for the innocents that always bear the brunt of war.

It’s weird how if I didn’t have the Internet I wouldn’t even know about the happenings in the sand. Whether it is “successful”, or drags on and costs a trillions of dollars, will it even affect my life? It certainly will affect and end many others, and I have a biased concern toward American lives, which I think is perfectly justifiable and hope they are not affected. There’s a theory of justification, and it’s utilitarian in nature, that in the long run over time this will create a net gain in life quality quantified on earth, but then again we arguably get that wrong more than we get that right.

The fire chief had a rooster and a duck she wanted rid of, so I went and took care of them today and they are now in my freezer and will be dangling in December to lure a bobcat into my traps
My son came down with me to get them and we brought them home to send them to God .

The rooster was a cakewalk. Snapped his neck and stood on his head for a minute, and he was done. I think I impressed the boy with my lethality.

When it came to man versus duck, the duck was definitely tougher than the man. If ducks had claws, I might be nursing some wounds, and I think any impression gained by the man from the boy in the killing of the rooster was lost on the duck. I grew up in a subdivision, not a farm.

But he doesn’t have a head anymore, though he did run around without it for a good two minutes.

Very worried that several younger fellows I know--one near the end of his term--might be called up and shipped overseas now.

Also I hope that all the distractions aren't seen as a window to slide things through regarding land grabs, permits given without adequate review, public comment cut out---like to think they'd be too busy with everything else but I know better--some are seeing this as an opportunity.

It’ll be hard to be like that when we just delete every thread that goes that way.

Normal policy stands.
Political stuff goes.

Trolls go.
Personal attacks go.

We let stuff like this thread go because it’s current and important, but the second it goes sour it goes.

Trying really hard to eliminate the “extra” stuff.
The printed 2026 Montana big game regulations came out yesterday. I have some thinking to do. I'll check back on this mess later. mtmuley
