Ya, thats about how bad my black mouth cur was. Maybe even worse than that. It was horrible and he damn near died from the infection.
The poor pup died about 9 months later. Vet did his best but couldn’t get all of the quills. I’m guessing they migrated.
Huck pointed two covies of Huns on our walk back to the truck. Killed two doubles over him. I raced him to the birds so he didn’t try to pick up with a mouth full of quills. I had worked on him for a half hour before we left. He wouldn’t let me pull anymore quills.
