Got up early this morning and went to Cherokee NC for some mountain views and elk viewing.

They knocked it down last night to 132 acres. It blew up this afternoon to nearly 300. They lost it on the north side and are bringing in a couple Chinook helicopters in the morning. If they don't catch it quick it's going to be thousands and thousands of acres.

Nope. Didn't see a sole thankfully, the 4wd road was pretty gnarly with no room for two vehicles to squeeze by. I was muttering how 2 more inches of clearance would be nice.
