How were the trails, headed there for the first time next Saturday?

A few down trees on the loop from Seven Devils Campground to Gem Lake. Took Goat Trail from Sheep Lake Back to Campground. Some snow on Goat Trail. I would guess that snow is gone now or will be in the next few days.

Some of you have probably never experienced the strange mix of pleasure and suffering associated with picking wild blackberries. Due to thorns, heat and humidity, and me forgetting a headband, I actually shed blood, sweat, and tears in collecting these. My legs look like they might have caught a stray load of #8 shot. I will be digging the tips of thorns out of my hands for the next couple of weeks. And, I never come away from a blackberry patch without a tick or two.

But, I think the effort is worthwhile.
