No need to visit the dealership to negotiate.Thats a couple hours of my life Ill never get back. Car salesman....lower than whale shit.
Was just telling the wife I dont think the online car buying sounds so bad after all. We are so far apart on price I think its a waste of both our time. Would've payed good money to bear spray that guy. Online Chevy is running 2.9% financing called one credit union today they said 5% dealer says 8% is the best. Such a waste of time talking to those people. No need to visit the dealership to negotiate.
The whole charade gets old.Dealers just want you in the dealership to pressure you with all of their games. It takes some work, but you can find all of the information and prices you need online. Most dealers have an internet salesman who cut out the games.
I don't blame dealers/salesman for trying to make more money, but I'm on to it.
They've been on the way out since internet pricing. My cousin is a Toyota salesman. He says he has less than 5 years before car salesman are gone. Making pretty good money wasting people's time in the mean time though...
Right! Every time I think “in person” buying is going to be ok I find the biggest dip$&*@.Was just telling the wife I dont think the online car buying sounds so bad after all. You get one...?Everybody should buy a Tesla one time to see how nice it can be. Get online, buy the car. Go pick it up. No salesmen. No negotiations. The price listed is the price.
Bought one 4 years ago. Sold it last year when we moved back to Montana. You get one...?
My youngest worked at a local high volume dealership, started part time in high school and kept the job through sophomore year in college. Ended up as a finance clerk there before he headed to main campus.Thats a couple hours of my life Ill never get back. Car salesman....lower than whale shit.
This.Whenever I'm shopping I know exactly what my credit union is offering for interest rates and terms. I've had dealerships routinely match the same terms, some even buy down points from their lenders to get the financing through the dealer as they get a cut.
Same I bought an X a few months ago. 5% below MSRP. I had to go out of state and buy online to find one. They are in high demand. Good experience.I think this is key. Really depends on how common/unique of a trim or options you are looking for. For my AT4x, they really weren't looking to negotiate much as even though I ordered it and had to wait 3 months, they told me that if I ended up not taking ownership, they'd likely be able to sell it in a day or 2. I only put $1k down as a 'placeholder' because they just needed 'something' and weren't worried about being able to sell it.
My wife just bought a 2025 Lincoln SUV they she got at employee pricing because it had been sitting on the lot for 4 months. It looks like every other Lincoln on the road and they had about 1/2 dozen of the exact same '25s they were looking to get rid of. So they were willing to deal more.
If you are looking for a base 2500 I'd wager there are some dealers that would be more willing to play ball in order to move inventory. Still looking close to $70k for a diesel and $60k for a gas engine if you are just getting a no-frills SLE or Pro...
Bro, we bombed Iran and sent the Jewish state $18 billion in the last fiscal year to sponsor the raising of Gaza. I disagree with it too, but it is Zionism, literally the opposite of Nazism. Not sure what moral universe you live in but when anyone stands up on stage and salutes Hitler that's I indefensible and anti American. Why half of America thinks this is ok leaves me a bit heartbroken if I'm honest. There used to be certain lines you did not cross, and self identifying as a Nazi was one of them I believe should still stand.
Think he meant elon, not trump.Bro, we bombed Iran and sent the Jewish state $18 billion in the last fiscal year. I disagree with it too, but it is Zionism, literally the opposite of Nazism.
Sure, but it would be hard to imagine those two Butt buddies, being on opposite ends of such a large topicThink he meant elon, not trump.
Can't be sure - hard to keep track of who the "hitler" is in 2025
