My Best Whitetail So Far

Well, I just returned home from my very first trip to Kansas chasing big whitetails with my bow. I was planning on bowhunting there for 8 days but when this guy came out on the very first day, I decided I was willing to cut the hunt short if I could get him into bow range. Unbelievably, I was able to call him into 12 yards from over 200 yards away. He ended up taping out at 158 3/8 even with no G4 on the one side which is far better than my best 130" archery buck prior. It was fun hunting new country and the crazy thing is, i saw 4 bucks that were better than this buck after i had killed mine. My buddy that hunted with me had a 220+ inch mule deer walk 7 yards by his stand on the second night!! What a bummer he didn't have a muley tag!!

Did you stay for the rest of the trip or did you go home? Regardless, I would cut the hunt short too. That is a hoss of a buck!
