Only problem with that photo is the cause of death can not be determined. It actually does bother me a bit that to put that picture out they felt the need clean it up so much. LOL he's still my early front runner.

Sadly, this one photo is probably enough to get him disinvited from any of the Dem primaries.

As the parties have consolidated and polarized, it has become harder than ever for moderates to get attention.

Oh come on. Democrats are the party of the public land hunter.

I am not sure that Bullock's path to the nomination still exists in the democratic party. The last person to try it was Jim Webb. He had far more name ID and the path took him to an early exit ramp.

Come on! Watching Jim Webb in the debates was about as exciting as watching paint dry. He never stood a chance to even get people interested in what he had to say.

Current political climate in USA:
Socialism = Government paying for social programs with money it doesn't have.
Capitalism = Government paying for defense programs with money it doesn't have.

I don't care what your political persuasion, that is damn funny.

We don't have capitalism anymore. We have corporatism. We have the largest corporate goverment partnership the world has ever seen.

Bulllock won't get any traction unfortunately, not in this field.

I'd like to commend the folks at HT for keeping a political thread civil for 4 pages. Congrats everyone!

Listened to the podcast with Bullock. He is exactly what I want the Democrats to be like, which is why he won't sniff the nomination. I don't think I can vote in the Democratic primaries in my state but if he manages to trend higher I'll put a sticker somewhere for him. Otherwise this conservative is pulling for Biden to win the nom.

It's pretty easy to find a way to like Bullock, as he is the embodiment of an old fashioned true American, a real Montanan, as well as a public servant who has served as Attorney General, then Governor for the people of Montana ... all of the people, regardless of political bent.

Show me a link where it's illegal to pray in school, so long as your not being disruptive in class. Just as gun control card gets dropped by the far right every time we have elections, so does the religious discrimination card. Please show me the changes in religious freedoms that our country has gone through. Just quick links will be good enough. Please make sure it's a credible source. What I see is the religious right wanting their form of religion promoted in school vs others.

If your kids were stopped from praying is school they I suggest you Lawyer up. They have that right.

We should know where all our candidates are on issues, and cast votes accordingly.

Thank you for holding my feet to the fire, so to speak. You highlighted something that I over looked in my proof reading. I apologize to all members on this forum. I left the impression that My kids have been told they could not pray in school. That is not true and in trying to make a point I inadvertently mislead the thinking on that one. My point I was trying to make is, that is the way our country is heading. And in honoring freedom of religion no one should be told they can not pray. And with that, no children should be told in our schools. I have seen where kids have been told they could not pray in schools, period. In my effort to make a point, I did not disseminate my thought as well as I should have. For that I'm extremely sorry. Legal or not, there are a lot of things that don't get enforced and dismissed. All you got to do is watch the news for more examples of that.

As I said above, I don't want to debate the issue. And I am not going to. This is not what this thread was started for and should stay to the primary question, "MT Residents Thoughts on Steve Bullock". If you would like a debate, start a new thread and debate it there.

I can not remember the debates that well. Last time the media was pulling hard for Clinton. I doubt that they gave Webb an questions that would make him look good. This year the Media seems to be looking to Biden. Wouldn't surprise me if the few questions Bullock gets are so far inside that the best he can do is foul then off.
I don't think Biden and Bullock are on the same path. Biden had a liberal voting record when in the Senate. He only looks like a moderate now because most of the other democrats running are far left. I fear that Biden is made of glass. I hope I am wrong and Bullock makes a strong push. I think he would be a strong candidate in the general

That is all good stuff and he may very well be a strong candidate. But we should consider the rest of the things that would make him the "Complete Package". How does he feel about God and Country? Does he support prayer and religion? Has he been in the military? How does he view the military, police, and other law enforcement agencies? Does he support the veterans and how? Where does he stand on immigration and border security? Without the military, veterans, and good boarder security, you wouldn't have all the other good stuff you have focused on. Is he a hater that won't support President Trumps efforts because it's trump and not for the good of our country? I'm sure I don't write as elegant as you other folks, but there is a lot more at stake right now for our country than just the current Democrats agenda that we have witnessed for our selves.

So just a quick point here, did you ever see Trump or any R candidate ever talk about the good things Obama did? I mean really, that's the way that its done isn't it? You don't give credit to your opponent or their party. Say they did a good job on these items but you want to replace them? Plus the frenzies wouldn't have it. You make up stuff like being born in Africa to get them going. You don't tell what the other guy has done well.

I like Bullock. Solid dude. He's got my vote, though of course when it's primary time in MT we'll know the nomination by then so my vote won't count at all.

You make a great point. I see and agree with what you are saying. In my statement, I was referring more in regards to while being an elected official before he decided to run and was not yet a candidate/hopeful for the presidency.

Nope. No traction at all.
