But has slowed to 1/4 inch per day. Thinking its just about topped out. But sure has messed up the lake place. The beautiful lawn is now a swimming pond.

Kids like swimming on the lawn

And this heron likes the flooded areas. He comes in every evening fishing.

On Saturday, there was a giant fish splashing, seemingly feeding near the lawn, I saw it once and could tell it was a big pike. Went back today, and found this guy on the lawn with some ravens feeding on it.

Looked in its mouth and could see a giant lure stuck in there. A 6 inch imitation rainbow trout. Light test line, no steel leader or anything. I don't think they had a prayer of landing that fish.

That sucks I hope you dont loose much due to the flooding. My house got flooded a few years back and it was a mess.Looks like the kids are making the best of it though.Good luck.

The main house is fine, up on high ground. But it flooded the shop, the garage, the old icehouse, and is about an inch from going into the little house.

Cut the lure out. Its in nw MT, flathead county. Called Echo Lake.

Water front property, but that is a little too close. On the brite side you can launch the boat from the garage. Looks like a great place when the water is at normal levels. Best of luck to you.

A friend of mine has a place on Echo lake, been a long time since I was up there though. If I remember right its on the north west end of the lake, another friends 'grandma' has a really nice place on the opposite corner.

Flooded before, in 1997. But came up higher this time.

This place was actually one of the first, if not the first home built on Echo, by the president of Burlington Northern. It is quite a place, should be on the historical register for the county if you ask me. Not huge or fancy, but they just don't build stuff like this anymore. The ice house/swimming/shower house was already pretty rough. The garage and shop will be OK. I would like to fix up and modernize the little house as a pet project.

There is an emergency no wake moratorium on the lake right now, so its great. No noisy ass motors and jet skis. Its all good. Except all the Canadians that have bought half the properties on the lake are pitching a ROYAL fit. LOL

Yeah this is more south, south east on a big pennisula. Its a cool place to have to go to. Its my wife's aunts place, they live in Butte, so we do most of the care taking and use it most.

The Missions held their snow a little later than the rest of the snow didn't they?

We were looking at them from the south today and couldn't believe how much is still up there.

That really BITES, but mother nature does what she does. Thing that bums me is that those old places can only take so much of that and then they are gone. Will keep my fingers crossed for your family.
