Gov. Signed HB 514 of Sen. Hunters into law. This was an idea I threw out here on HT a long time ago. I cosponsored the bill. This bill gives Mt R sportsmen the first 10 days of season with no NR competition on accessible lands.

This was a great bill, and thanks to you all for your stewardship of it.

This, combined with a few other changes, should really help residents have a better quality upland hunt, as well as ensure some antelope and archery hunters have fewer people on public lands and Block Mgt/Open Fields lands.

No. Nor does it apply to Mountain grouse (Ruffed, Dusky & Spruce). it only applies to sharptail, sage and pheasant.

I guess if you are only able to view the issue from the perspective of someone who looks out for only their interests, then sure.

It is significant I had a bow stalk blown by a group of Texas hunters with a trailer load of dogs the 3rd day of season a couple years ago. Point being is 112 days not long enough to hunt birds?
