Gonna miss it here. I just found out my wife got her dream job on the other side of the divide so we're moving to the Billings area this summer. I'm gonna miss my late season archery whitetail hunts, floating the root, and hunting bears and sheds with Randy11. Guess I'm trading the pines for sage brush. I really love it here it's a nice corner of the world, you lifers make sure not to take it for granted.

My family moved here from Shelby in 1974.I left after high school, was gone a while, then came home. My youngest has 7 more years in school. I'm here at least till he's done. I love this place, but it's getting crowded. mtlion, you can always hop on the interstate and come back for visits. mtmuley

least now you may hunt where bino/spotting/rifle scopes may be useful! Haha! Here, we're lucky to have a 200 yards window to glass... Billings? a couple miles? :D

Best to ya MTlion! My only question - where do your loyalties rest? Pussycat or Griz? :p

If I lived in the Bitterroot it'd be damn hard to get me away. I went to Naps per the recommendation of a few folks from here and damn near wanted to tell my wife we were moving to MT.

Congrats to your wife on landing her dream job.

Don't take for granted the fact that you're moving from Montana to MONTANA...

Pussycat or Griz? :p

Cats no question. I lived most of my life in Bozeman. Moved there from Libby when I was 7.

This is true. I am closer to icefishing on peck, paddlefishing, my deer hunting spots, and the breaks. She's got a permanent job that pays well and we'll be able to stay in MT likely forever now. This is what we planned all along.

Your getting closer to being a flatlander like us in Eastern MT.

Good luck to you, and it's a dang good thing you are not headed to Glasgow.

This little discussion of your is cute. Just be sure to appreciate the fact you still live in the confines of the best state in the lower 48...cause Illinois...totally BLOWS!!!

You are not going to like the prices of your next house. I'm looking at flipping mine and an appraisal is 4 weeks out and counting. My neighbors house just sold for the asking price and I thought that it was $25k too high. Real estate around billings is starting to climb fast.

I cover the whole state and if I could live anywhere it would be Idaho falls. Sand dunes, fishing, closer to bear lake, and hunting. Naturally I'd still buy an mt deer tag and fish the horn every spring.

Billings is not kalispell, Bozeman, or the root but there are still a lot worse places to be.

Congrats to the wife (and by extension you)! At least its not Indiana, which is where my wife lead me... ;)

The Billings area is not all bad . . . there is always something to do. Just like every where you go there are positives and negatives. There are numerous outdoor recreational activities in and around Billings.

I grew up here, moved to Bozeman (got my degree), lived in Helena for seven years, and now have been back in Billings for several years. It's all good. I have been blessed to be able to live in Montana for the majority of my life.

If anything your getting away from all those crazy Grissly fans. :)
