Another bag dump video that follows up on the first Bag Dump video we did.

A lot of you had questions about how we stay warm enough to hunt all day for weeks at a time in November and December. Growing up in Northern Minnesota I guess I take it for granted how you stay warm. I am fortunate that I never get cold. Not sure if that is because of my Scandinavian heritage, or because I learned a few tricks to stay warm while hunting, fishing, and trapping in cold weather.

Here's the video link - https://youtu.be/SORN9X9W2_M

None of this is rocket science. Some of you probably have a lot of other good ideas.

As you have seen on the show and as you see in this video, I am a big fan of mittens, specifically chopper mitts. Here is a link to the ones I use.

I always have an extra pair of rag wool liners for my Choppers.

If you are interested in a Mad Bomber hat that allows you to go "Full Flaps," here's a link to that. For the coldest and windiest days, you can't beat a Mad Bomber. Not even a Stormy Kromer can beat a Mad Bomber in "Full Flaps" conditions.

So right, in so many ways. I especially regarded the small fire sect. I think too many hunters feel that they have to hunt 'Hard' all day long , and disregard the need to hunt 'smart'. After all is said and done, it's not a wise move to ignore one's well being. I NEVER go afield without some sort of Murphy proof fire starter.

Thanks for the videos Randy. You may have already answer this in another thread - but where did you get the sling for your rifle? I carry the crew cab, so I need one - can't keep the gun on my shoulder.

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here, but I think Randy mentioned in another thread that he uses the Kifaru Gunbearer sling.

Really enjoy all the videos. I took your advice and got a set of chopper mittens before the season this year and they really saved me on a very very cold deer hunt. Thanks again for all the info!

Yes it is - and if you turn the rifle around so the scope is facing forwards it is way more comfortable under your arm.

Thank you sir. That looks like it. Looks like they have some other gear that may need to go on the wish list as well.

That sling is a must. I bought one this fall and love it. Its very secure and fast to get the rifle out and ready to shoot. The hands free aspect is great
