Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Another levergun on the bench

Ok! Update time. Not moving as quickly as I'd like to be, work, family and whatnot.

Got the barrel tenon cut and threaded.

Here you can see that the next step will be cutting the hood and extractor groove.

With the barrel torqued I mark the hood for the extractor location.

Once all the clearance cuts are made the new chamber will be cut in. Have we settled on a cartridge yet?

Wishing out loud here. Rechamber to 308mx, 7:08 if it can handle the pressure, otherwise 7:30 Waters. Octagon? Shorten the magazine tube to just a few inches ahead of the forearm. Tru Glo front sight, peep or ghost ring rear on rail, low rise see through mounts, long eye relief pistol or shotgun scope, Scout mounted (old Widefields are toot sweet). Case harden receiver. Larger loop, improve trigger, extended hammer spur, delete button safety if so equipped. Slimmed forend w slight beavertail. Brass tacks tastefully arrayed on furniture. . .
So it can handle the pressure, which would be 30-30ish. @p_ham, you mad, impetuous genius!
