This is bad advice. If you know how to fix and do all your own work and repairs you’ll be too cheap to pay someone else to do what you think you can and never get around to doing. Plus your wife will find all kinds of things for her handy husband to do and keep on his case when it doesn’t get done.

Get a job that pays enough to pay the professionals while you go fishing and hunting.

Where’s the we in that? I guess it’s in the “ I figured out what you need to do” makes “we”.

At your age you've got time on your side. Take some risks. Don't let anyone anyone put pressure on you to have it figured out yet. Be a decent human being. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you get married be faithful to your wife. If you become a father make the kids a priority and let them know they are worth your time. Find the balance between saving for the future and living now.
