Opinions please!!!

Theres a distinct difference between their Razor products and the rest of the portfolio which you've described. The razors are absolutely phenomenal optics and very reliable. Made in US or Japan depending on model.
Yeah not real dependable

Even the Razor line isn’t dependable in my experiences
I would say its fair that any optic can fail, but your experience is not representative of the product as a whole. S&B, TT, ZCO, March, Kahles, etc. all have some incident rate of failure. Incident rate is important and has to be considered.

You will find vortex razor optics on the rifles used by special operations units across the world. There is a reason for that, and they are way tougher on these optics than any of us will ever be. I am sorry you had a bad experience, but its definitely not representative of the razor line.

Although i have owned razors in the past and always had good experiences, I dont own razors currently and do not have a dog in the fight.

Edit -

As an anecdote, tons of members here own Leuopold optics and adore them. Leuopld optics have a very well established failure rate specifically around tracking and return to zero, yet thousands if not millions of people still have great experiences with their specific units on their rifles.
