Last year after a bunch of research, I bought a new pair of boots. I settled on a pair of Zamberlans. I realize I hunt hard but I wore through the boots in about 5 months. The boots have a 12 month warranty as long as it wasn’t my fault. The soles on my boots were coming off in places along with some stitching that had torn. I reached out to them through their contact form on the website and sent them pictures, a copy of my receipt, all the stuff they need. They told me to send the boots in for inspection/repair and they’d let me know what they were going to do. They sent me a prepaid label to use. I sent the boots in and I got confirmation that they had been delivered on Feb 23. On March 5, I reached back out to them through an email asking if they had made a decision on if they were gonna repair my boots or send me a new pair or if whatever. I never got a response other than an automated email saying they’d get back to me. I figured they were behind so I wore some old boots on my spring hunts and was patient.

This week I tried getting in touch with them again. There is a chat feature on the website. After waiting about 10 minutes a guy came on the chat and said he would see what the status was with my boots. I sat at my computer with the chat window open for 2.5hrs and he never said anything else. A couple different times I asked if he was able to find anything. I even checked the window the next morning and he never replied. So I sent another email. Stating everything out. The only response has been the automated one again. The website says they’ll reapond with 24hrs and it’s now been 3 days.

I haven’t been unkind in any of my messages because that’s not my style. I’m also not mad because some things take time, but it’s been 4 months without an update, I have the biggest hunt of my life coming up in 6 weeks and I need my boots back or my money back or a new pair of boots.

I can’t find a customer service phone number. I don’t know what to do. Anyone have a contact or a suggestion?

I know this was a long post. Sorry about that.

It took me forever to find a number and talk to someone there. That was a couple years ago. I'll look for it. @Gellar you may want to note this thread. That sucks you can have the best stuff in the world but if your customer service sucks, you lose a customer with me every time.

My hard hunting boots are Kenetrek. Hiking boots and actually work boots are Lowa. mtmuley
I didn't know Lowa made work boots. I’ve always worn red wings. As far as that goes I've never gotten more than a year out of any brand of work boot maybe 18 months at the very most and I've tried a lot of them.

Your work boot and mine are probably two different animals. mtmuley

@SC Living Outdoors keep us updated please.
Update - I spoke with customer service. It happened to be the same guy I “chatted” with. They are sending me a new pair of boots which I appreciate, but idk if they would have if I hadn’t called. He apologized for me not getting an update. He said he got my email and apologized for not getting back to me. Idk if they just have one guy fielding emails, phone calls and chats for all of the US? Just seemed odd that it was the same guy I chatted with and he read my email. That bothered me a little bit that he got the email and didn’t respond.

I appreciate them sending me a new pair of boots but I don’t think I’ll be purchasing from them again.
