GuNR was pretty young last year for his first season and I wasn't sure if he was that into cold water and flying livers. I am feeling better after this weekend. Good times. Next weekend, ditch-parrots.:D

Gotta work on proper retireving techniques on the bigger birds.

I have only killed two woodies in my career, so this was a good opener. One was a double.

This morning, there was no flight for big ducks, so we made it a teal day. GuNR was happy with the smaller mouthfuls. First time I have only shot the little guys.

Nice looking chocolate lab in those first 2 pics. My yellow looked the same this weekend. She is sleeping well right now. Great pics as always.

Very nice. Was just looking at the regs myself. Only I am the retriever. Kind of Joe Dirt style where I learned

Beautiful dog, and like always, beautiful pics !
I`ll be taking my friends daughter to go shoot some woodies this Wednesday. I`m looking forward to it.

Great stuff Miller. Not only a great bag of fowl, but amazing pics, as always. Congrats to you and GunR.

That's awesome. I'm green with envy. I've always wanted to bag a woody and some teal. Managed two mallards yesterday afternoon, but pretty slow for me.

Funny, I almost always pass on teal while waiting on greenheads, cans or redheads.:D

Easy clean job on these little guys and the dog still gets his fun. Maybe I will be targeting these guys more often in the future.:D

Any duck within range was in trouble yesterday considering I hiked two miles to get to the lake I was hunting. Even hens were fair game

Gunner is a very handsome boy and looks like he takes his job seriously! Great pictures!

I agree with Dink. I confess to rarely checking the waterfowl forum unless I see you have posted photos. GuNR is looking good.

Great camera work as always, I really like the wood duck photo - probably because I've wanted one for years, when and if it happens I'm headed straight to the taxidermist. Great dog, great ducks, great photos!
