Mine is about 15-20# and that stays pretty consistent. I’m rarely going more than 1.5-2 miles from the car, rather just walking closed logging roads until they deadend. So I only carry 1L of water, and have a life straw if things get that far. Shooting sticks, tripod chair, kill kit, headlamp, batteries, snacks, rain gear, emergency shelter/firstarters/first aid kit, etc. just kinda all adds up.

I'm usually around 30 pounds counting my rifle strapped on. That's with 2 or 3 liters of water, extra shirt, rain gear, puffy, days worth of food, bullets, knifes, and various odds and ends.

Put the spotting scope and tripod in there and pushing 40 pounds. That's not counting my binoculars on my chest harness.

Just did a trial pack with the pack I'm borrowing. For now it looks like about 21 pounds not counting my rifle. It may change a little bit once I hit the mountains but it would only be a swap of extra clothes. Packed an extra Bodyarmor for something different to drink for lunchtime snacks. 3 liter bladder. Hopefully I can get by for the day with it!

i try to go light depending on conditions//im running about 12 lbs for good weather//closer to twenty or more for snow and cold.i carry just enough for a overnighter if i have to and basic bag and knife/saw for game.

For late October hunt in CO mountains (9900-11000 ft), my pack is coming in at 23 lbs excluding my rifle. I carry down jacket and pants for glassing sessions so this adds a little extra weight along with overnight survival gear.

Kinda fun when you find the remote control in your pack.

I went out today. Pack was 19.8 pounds. No spotter. No tripod. Went light on water(12oz). I was hunting near lakes and creeks all day so I filtered water. I did take the jet boil and aeropress.

The stove is a must. Nothing better than a cup of hot coffee/tea/bouillon in the afternoon.

I weighted mine before a recent elk trip. 21lbs. This includes 2.5 liters water, a puffy, knives, small hatchet, snacks, game bags, small spotting scope and tripod.

You are carrying way too much IMHO. You need to start looking at everything you are carrying and cut back, and ounces add up to pounds and pounds are pain.

Probably low 20's. Kifaru Shape Charge on a Exo frame. That's archery elk in central Idaho. not too many layers, good med kit, 1 Liter water, steripen, too much in my kill kit, lots of snacks, some other little things, always a piece of a z rest pad, and one 3 piece trekking pole.

Sub 10 pounds if my helpers are along.

Way too freaking heavy. I remember as a teenager buying a small, treebark camo fleece backpack for hunting, so that I didn't have to put my knife on my belt and my sandwich and boolits in my pockets. It was essentially a structureless bag with shoulder straps and a front pocket. It's amazing we survived as kids.

I also remember picking about 500 houndstongue seeds off of that "quiet!" fleece pack.......

Back when I was a teenager, I used a (gasp) fanny pack! Now, like you, my “day” pack is way too heavy. It is also my “week” pack, and it is only missing the overnight stuff…

Yea, 25ish lbs sounds about right. Seems to feel heavier some days. I try every year to shed some weight but at this point the only way that is going to happen is either spend a ton of money buying ultralight stuff or leaving things behind that I feel are critical.
