Waiting for 2025 Colorado draw results

No bear tags for me or my boys, but weren't actually expecting it. Good luck to those who drew!

I spoke with CPW a few hours ago and they said they will run the deer/elk draw tomorrow. I asked them why they didn't run deer/elk first and they said it takes much longer to run and they needed more time, which is why they ran moose/bear 1st. I said we were receiving moose results at 6:30am today and surely they could have ran it on Friday since they had to have had it ready to go this am. As I started to walk out of the office she said you hunters will never be happy with the draw! I replied, typical Government worker mentality and we both shook our heads at each other as I left.

Wouldn't you think CPW would want to run the license process that generates the most revenue first and as soon as the tag counts are set - to get those funds into CPW coffer?

i mean, i just don't see why this is how they need to let everyone know. all they're doing is charging cards, updating accounts/point totals, and sending e-mails for each app.

they know who drew everything already, like weeks ago. just generate a static report for everyone's account that says the successful/unsuccessful nature of each app so we know, then do all this process intensive updating crap in the background with as much time as they need.

The draws were all run 3 weeks ago. The credit card processing is what happens on draw results day.

No I don't bitch about the price of something I buy when the price is posted, but I will bitch if they put the eggs on the bottom of bag and throw a bunch of can crap on top of it.

The bitch in me came out with her comment about hunters not being happy with the draw. I'm pretty certain they can shuffle the draw release around - far more hunters are interested in deer/elk than the lucky couple hundred that will receive a moose tag.

I crack up every year reading you guys waiting for CO apps, I don't get it. It's a true PP system you should basically know within reason if your drawing a tag (or not), there's no surprises like other states. I know the only thing I will draw is points since i don't have enough for the units I applied for.

Moose posted today, and it's not pure preference.

I applied for a deer tag that was not 100% at my point level last year, so who knows?

Plus, angst is fun.

What's the definition of crazy? Doing the same thing and expecting a different result? I keep applying for deer and elk tags in Colorado that are 1 or even 2 points more than I have, and I'm expecting that somehow fewer people are going to apply for that tag and I might have a chance to draw it!

The crazy thing is that I've been applying for the same 2 units for 3 years now and I'm not sure that I'm getting any closer to drawing them, I was 2 points behind 3 years ago and I'm probably 2 points behind this year. 13 deer and 13 elk!

Anxiously waiting the elk draw too but probably for different reasons than most. Here’s to hoping I don’t draw tomorrow because I’ll have to turn it back in after drawing WY. Yea I know it’s a shitty system but as long as they let us do this it definitely affects my draw strategy. So hopefully I don’t draw and gain a point. Good luck to everyone else.
