Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

You mean, we should trust the corporatists more than any oligarchists!!!!!!!? Say it ain't so!!!!

There was a Democrat in New mexico that was advocating for it just last year or the year before. Both sides would sell it in a heart beat if they could. live in denial that that's not the case I don't care. But that will be the demise of public lands if you think the democrats will actually push back to actually try and stop it is funny.
Who? I call BS. All the Senators and rep's are against pro public lands. All Dem's.
I remember some R's that voiced a want to sell public lands. They lasted one term.

The difference is that idiot Amadio's proposed land sale would have sent all the $$ to the treasury for the orange menace.
The bill Cortez Masto keeps the $$ from land sales here in NV, there is the big difference.
Oh so it's ok if they sell the public land as long as it benefits you.....

It was a nevada senator not new mexico my bad either way it was a Democrat proposing to sell public land

I bet batguano was a big Harry Reid fan. Too bad Nevada is controlled by Clark County. I lived up North of there for about 12 years. Different climate. But maybe the libs have moved in to Northern Nevada. mtmuley

New Reuters poll supports what I see--more and more Trump voters are not happy with him, and even less happy with his economic performance. Seeing concern in economic reports from huge retailers already. Growth expectations dashed, plans to cut production and employees underway. Wall Street regulators are seeing huge job cuts--if you thought there were problems there already watch out for what's coming.

I think the biggest danger on public lands is what Trump is actually really good at--throwing so much sh#t out there that peoples heads spin and don't or can't hone in on any one problem. That and his ability to keep convincing people that he's not doing what he actually is doing--and that is well underway.

Need to keep the issue in front of people and be aggressive about it.

Many people were concerned about that. Lots of people commented against it.

We did an entire video about it, telling people to comment against it. Also called my delegation. Contacted the BLM Director at that time, who I know personally from her time in Montana. It was discussed on this forum in much depth. That huge proposal was a stupid idea, mostly based on the borderline religious ideology that anything with the label of "green energy" is somehow a great idea.

To paraphrase the discussions on this forum, "I'd take well-managed oil & gas over huge swaths of solar development." Unfortunately, "well-managed" looks to be on it's way out the door.

"Whatabouts" might make for good deflection on both sides, but it surely doesn't help the non-partisan cause of wildlife, habitat, access, and conservation. It merely defends bad ideas from both sides.

I note in the article that the Center of Bio Diversity commented against it. LOL. Might be interesting to note that many of these were approved in Trump's first term. Gemini being one. I'm not sure how to mitigate the overall impact of this type of progress and multiple-use, but I sure hope everyone keeps commenting.

As of June, there are 13 solar energy facilities in Nevada, covering about 20,000 acres of BLM-administered lands.
