How much can you expect a Lope to shrink in the 60 days? Does it depend on size? Bigger the more shrinkage?

I swear that lope was in the cold water. He was in the cold water!!

Guess I need to lure you suckers in with something visual:D

I haven't measured many lope so I am a rookie. Came out around 80 1/2, but nets 79 and change. Is it worth having it measured after 60 days? The the old man would be tickled pink.

The only depressing part was this was buck #2. He missed buck #1|oo

Get him measured. He is a good one, and it is worth knowing what he scores, just for reference.

Last year, I came up with 79 6/8 (gross) on a buck I shot, and when I got it officially measured, it grossed 80 6/8 and netted exactly 80. How is that for shrinkage?

A very great buck. Tell your dad Congrats.

Get him measured.....Looks like a great lope, and a great memory not matter what the score!

If it's that close to 80" get it measured...not that it should matter though...the ol' man should already be "tickled pink". Great lookin' Antelope.

It wouldn't hurt. I just hope that sucker is going on the wall, great looking buck!!! Congrats to both of you!

PS- Got any pics of #1?

I was happy just because he finally demonstrated a little self restraint and passed up some bucks:D

2 weeks prior, on a hunt that took 14 years to draw, 1 hour 15 minutes into the hunt, my brother whispering over and over.................not a shooter, don't shoot, not a shooter don' shoot..................boom.

I was devastated, he couldn't be any happier. I asked him if he wished he held out, he says "What the hell for"? I feel bad cause I got caught up in it and forgot whose tag it was.

My first Dinkshooter posse shot:)

Good stuff! :D Funny how we change as we get older, but I love when my Dad shoots something big. Find myself pullin' for him more than myself. They ain't gonna be around forever. Looks like you guys had a great time. Thanks for all the pics.
