This British Columbia man had a terrifying confrontation with a charging grizzly in his front yard and ended up shooting the bear while it was feet away.

The videoing from behind the window wife seems to be the only one with any sense.
But I can see my wife wanting to video me doing something stupid too. But she would be easily heard using the word idiot throughout said video!

Without additional context, that looks an awful lot like him leaving his home to shoot that bear with birdshot and provoking her into charging. Obviously wasn't his intent to cause serious harm or he would've been loaded with buckshot. From the looks of it though the whole situation couldve been avoided if he stayed inside and shot from the house, didn't shoot at all, or did anything other than the elmer fudd walk across the lawn

Certainly an interesting story, defintely sheds some light on the context. Still skeptical on the technique however...

After days of dealing with this aggressive bear and being charged multiple times he decides to go strolling out there with birdshot to show her who's boss?

There had to be a better option that wouldve had less dramatic results on both he and the bear
