GuNR and I skipped out on the fireworks again this year and hit a lake I have hunted near, but never had been to. Fishing didn't work out and we had to spend some time in the tent to stay out of the rain and hail, but had a great time anyway.

GuNR fired up early in the hike. His food on one side and my beers on the other.:D

Obligatory sign pic.

Trail blocker?

Finally, we can see the destination.

Quick shot before we set up the tent and beat the rain.

Don't give me that look, it beats sitting out in the rain.

Where we had been.

Good sherpa.

Algae paint

Brave Heart?

Missed the rainbow.

Hop-scotch to get the stick.

Goat country?

I think there were 11 in this group. At one point I observed 25 in the area.

Headed back to the trailhead. Good weekend.

Just stand in the flowers.

Ok, now you can play.

Griz and wolves, beware.

Alright, back to reality. Better mow the lawn.

Oh, the life of GunR. Great pics of the great places you find in your travels.

Great pics. That must of been you in the maroon toyota with the dog crate. Glad you didnt drown. It rained on us as hard as i have every seen in there on friday. Nice pics as always. HUNT

Nice mule. Does he laugh when you crack open a beer he shook up?

He knows better.

I think you mean "blood red" toyota.:D I assume you saw it at the trailhead? I was the first one there Thursday, but a couple with horses unloaded while I was filling the pack. I heard they didn't make it all the way due to down timber. I did bump into a group of 4 when I was about out. It may have been down to 3 by the time they got to the top since one guy was wearing some irritating bells.

Very cool; however, based on what I've seen in your pictures, you're better than Miller Lite.

Damn Newcastle was only in bottles.:D

1.) always be prepared: carry Dupont spinners.

2.) Cold Smoke comes in tall boys. :)

I hope you filled those empty beer can/bottles full of water before you threw them in the lake when you left.

Great Pics as always and I agree, if I was GuNR I'd be pissed to have carried that load all the way to only find out it was miller light.... Oskar Blues, Old Chub comes in cans. 2 to 1 on the ML.
