Kenny Clark needs to be Aaron Donald-esque, and they need both of those first round picks to be immediate starters and fringe pro bowlers make this trade even close to even.

Jerry fumbled the Dak contract at every turn and then let the market dictate what he had to pay CeeDee instead of getting it done early and setting the market. Because of those mistakes, their cap situation was too F'd up be able to pay one of the best players in the game what he deserves.

This is one of the stupidest trades in the history of the NFL. They traded a generational talent for two late round firsts an a 30 year old declining player, and basically never shopped him around. I have no doubt there are probably at least 5 teams that would have given up more picks and/or players to get the deal done. Hilariously bad move by Jerry.

And for folks that are saying that Parson's isn't a phenomenal game changing player, you don't know ball, respectfully.

ESPN Milwaukee did a good break down of the salary cap and the list is pretty small of teams that had the room to fit the 45mil/year deal without having to also give up a really good player or get extremely creative with a heavy back ended contract which is never a good thing for the franchise. You are right in that the landing spot for a trade was about 5 teams. The Rams actually made a lot of sense and they have 2 first round picks next year. I don't watch much football anymore other than Clemson, money has taken over the game so much, and it's hard to believe some of the salaries. I looked up the defending champs 25' salaries for defensive line and linebackers, Parsons wanted more than those players got combined. I wonder how many Packers lineman will resent them paying him that much, he is a great player but still only one man.

I think Micah is great. But….. is he a true game changer? Does he really give you a better chance to win the SB. Probably but so far it hasn’t happened. He goes dark in big games.

Yes. He’s a 3 time first team All-Pro in 4 seasons.
Also, stats don’t tell the tale of the tape. I guarantee you watch the tape from those playoff games and you won’t find a single play he’s not getting doubled and chipped. His presence creates opportunities for his teammates to clean up. Whether they pull their weight or not, is up to them.
I think people are straining their minds a little bit about this one. There are 31 teams in the NFL that would love to have him on their team. You find ways to pay generational talents.

The Packers biggest weakness going into this season is pass coverage imo.

The best way to fix that would be to upgrade at corner (not sure they did). The second best way is to improve their pressure on the QB, which hopefully they did do.

As far as your question about wins/losses, if you want to look at it like baseball, you could probably argue that the WAR on Parsons coming into GB is probably something like 0.5 meaning that his impact gives the team about a 1/2 win more than it would of had without him.

Parsons is no where near the player that Garrett is. Garrett crushes on the pass rush and run defense. Parsons is a pass rush specialist.

Lions Vikings & Packers all have a path to win the North depending on how a few things break and staying healthy. 1, 2, 3 is a crap shoot. The only thing that is certain is the Bears with be 4.
