BLM Employee threatened in Utah

Dude. I just predicted you would show up. Accurately I might add.

All that other stuff, I have no idea what you are talking about.

I only posted in this thread because of you. Are you going to answer my question about why you brought up my name in this thread?

Some people use a down rigger, others leaded line. Several motors attached to the boat assist in better control of varying speeds.

I would like to see the proof of that. There are plenty of crooked BP agents and some are arrested every-so-often. I don't think it is appropriate to make these statements unless you can provide proof. I spent 22 years in the Border Patrol and never knew any blatantly false statement to be put out by management, or crooked agents for that matter. Some areas were worse than where I worked, though.

As far as the BLM, I can understand with the current sentiment toward our oppressive government, how some nut ball would do this. I understand the statement and the hatred for the institution, but it is wrong to take it out on the guy just out there doing what the political hacks like Harry Reid's buddy told him to do.

It will get worse before it gets better unless things start changing from the top down.

Of course I don't have documented proof. Only conversations over a cold beer. Perhaps I was lied to, but I took them at their word.

So you were BP, did you ever get told to not arrest knows border crossers so that the statistics would show the arrest numbers were down, thus implying that there were less folks crossing illegally?

BTW, thank you for the service. I had several interactions with the agents that patrolled the line from the Pacific Ocean to the Imperial Valley, CA. Always treated with class.

The wrangler was driving a load of horses and burros north on Interstate 15 about 11 a.m. near Mills when a dark blue Dodge 1500 extended-cab pickup pulled up alongside the wrangler. The two occupants "told him he was No. 1 with that certain gesture," said Eric Reid, the wrangler’s supervisor at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s Fillmore Field Office.

Seems to me that everyone is pointing fingers towards the wrong side of the political spectrum. I'll bet the guys in hoods were a couple of gun totin' ultra-fringe wild horse advocates ;)

In places, I believe that did happen. During the time that I was in, we did not play those games, but in recent times, politics become more important than doing a job. Some of the top tier of the BP are nothing more than blood-sucking politicians that do the bidding of congress and the white house. More and more upper management have no spine and have very little consideration for the welfare of the employees or the country in general.
