You’re right, let’s keep shooting them like we have for the last 50 years until there is nothing left for anyone to hunt. I’m sure you are spot on that your family has shot a lot more deer than me. I shot plenty of younger bucks when I was a kid and am pretty selective anymore to try and let those younger bucks mature, and I’ve never shot a doe. As for elk, that’s another miss by you. I shot one cow as a kid and then have killed a bull (no spikes included) in MT every year I’ve hunted outside of a couple years when I was playing college football. Even mix between archery and rifle. My wife and dad fill their bull tags regularly as well. The likes of you are what is eliminating hunt opportunities for us. Youre mindset is why people arnt killing deer and elk like we used to. I bet my family has killed more deer than you. I bet you dont even kill bull elk. I think you would change your tune if we talked about this face to face pal.
I would be more than happy to have this conversation in person with you and am not the least bit intimidated by your perceived threat on an Internet forum. You keep doing what you’re doing and I’m going to try and advocate for some sound management in a changing hunting landscape. I don’t want MT to be the next Utah, but I don’t want to blast every last critter off the mountain either. I won’t be responding to your comments any longer, but best of luck in that upcoming doe draw. Sounds like you might need it to put some meat in the freezer this fall.
