My other issue also, remains, when out hunting and I close onx to save battery and am on airplane mode then open onx it can take a long time to load up and show backup ground maps and then my markers/track and also my location. never used to do that. A long time lag of course eat up my battery. When all I’m trying to do is take a quick look at my map to decide which direction to go ETC.
The ‘fix’ is to turn cellular back on for a few seconds even when there is no cellular signal to pick up and then go back to airplane mode. That is a pain, and eats battery needlessly in backcountry when preserving battery is paramount.
Help with this too please
Below is a screen video of the problem in action. in this case on X actually booted up more quickly than I was experiencing out in the field last week perhaps because I had just opened up on Onx with a full Wi-Fi and everything a few minutes before during the airplane mode then turning my phone off, then turn the phone back on and then booting up on X.
Shortly after the video started, I switched it to off-line maps only which is what I was using in the field
