Still having intermittent issue where I do a "go to waypoint" and the distance does not display unless I do it a second time.

Another issue, this last weekend while hunting on multiple occasion when started onx on my Iphone it took a minute to show where I was and my map and marker data. Just an odd long lag in performance compared to usual fast start up.

Another question, I just organized my voluminous marker and track data into a folder for each hunt unit in various states. Where I had in the All Content listing over 4000 items (including lots of tracks and waypoints) with vast majority not set to 'hidden, I have now set nearly half to be 'hidden' across 5 states. Will hiding that much data cause improved Onx performance or must I delete the data from my account.
 
This looks like it might be a caching issue on your device. irst, if you have an offline map saved in that area, please try updating that map. If the issue persists after updating, go into your settings within the app, scroll down to the bottom of that menu and tap Clear Map Cache. That should fix this for you.

I updated my maps and it’s still the same. Do I need to use a laptop instead of my phone to clear the cache, not finding a way to clear cache on my phone.

I've been trying on my end, but I've been unable to replicate the issue you're seeing with Go To Waypoint on your end. Can you double check which version of the app is currently downloaded on your phone? An older version of the app could be causing the Go To Waypoint and the lagging issue you are seeing.

Hiding that content should result in some improved performance for you, particularly hiding tracks. Those are the most data intensive markups, so hiding some of them should speed things up for you.

Anyone have their offline maps quit showing detail? I was hunting the archery opener Saturday. Part of the map would show detail but another part was just a green blob. It would show my position as I moved. I double checked and it was in the area of my downloaded map.

I’ve never had my onX offline maps act up before so was surprised.
 
My current OnX subscription is up while I will be out hunting later this week and I need to update my payment method, as I know it's a different card than when I subscribed last time.
It would be really nice to have a dedicated account landing page instead on this little pop up. Something a little more robust that shows my current card on file, my past purchases, any other relevant information, etc. and where I can update my card info without having to either reach out to customer service and/or cancel my current sub and resub with my new card.
Its a clunky and annoying process.

Also, with my sub ending in a couple days, I've received no email reminder or anything regarding it. I know OnX probably likes the auto-renewal flying under the radar and doesn't want people to hurry and cancel before they're charged for another year, but maybe an email saying your sub will renew in XX days and maybe a "Thank You for your business" would be nice.

And maybe a toss loyalty promo code or something into the email to knock a few bucks off the renewal? There is nothing more annoying and might just be me, but it's borderline insulting when you've been using a product or service for 10+ years and somehow always get stuck with paying the full price for it, while new users get to apply promo codes from crap influencers or new customer promos to knock their bill down 30-50% at times.

I know if I call jump through the hoops I can usually get something figured out, but it'd be nice to be able to take care of it myself online, instead of having to call and go through the process.

Also, I understand a lot of the app is optimized on mobile devices, but in this day and age can’t we have it also optimized for desktop? Even the on my phone it isn’t optimized. Here’s the “Manage Subscription” page when I click on it.

Update: Dug through enough FAQ sections/subsections and finally found where to update payment info, only to have it hit me "We apologize, we could not update your payment method. Please try again."

Apologies for all the trouble here! Looking at your screenshot, I can see that your membership is not tied to a credit card. It was created using a redemption code. There is no payment information tied to your account, and your account will not automatically renew.

We understand this experience is not optimal, and we are working to improve our account information page. Since you're going to renew in a few days when you will be out hunting, please give us a call at (406) 540-1600 so that we can make sure your service will not drop during your hunt and so that we can better investigate the offline maps issue you are experiencing.

We apologize for the trouble with your offline maps! We have had a couple of reports of a similar issue and our engineers are looking into it. Are the accounts tied to a phone? Recently upgraded my phone and despite having a basic paid account even layers dont work anymore, I'm told I have to upgrade to see them.

Or did the whole system change where you have to pay more to get basic features now?
 
Accounts are email specific, and levels of membership are explained on the web site.
Yes...I could log in with my email...but most of the features aren't available. Only thing I can think of is my linked card number might have changed after I thought it did.

Onx sends so darn many upgrade now emails I might well have ignored a message that my membership level wasn't continuing due to not being able to charge the card.
 
Unrelated question...
Are you stuck with the states you pick until the next renewal or can you change them? I will hung two states this year, but three next year...maybe four.
 
If you do the 2 state option, I believe they can change them if you call. Any user data you have will remain, you just lose a few of the state specific layers.

Two questions for when the elk hunter returns:
  1. The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest grazing allotments are not included in the USFS grazing allotment layer. Plans to add them?
  2. Is it possible to create a waypoint by uploading a geotagged photo? If not, it would be a handy tool.
