Wyoming Sucks !!

Yeah, I remember that thread where mtmiller hunted such a "private"/"secret" place he didn't even know where it was. He got a nice bear though, right?

He did it blindfolded, but both hands were free, I think, right? I think Moosie and Idahobuglar should do it that way, if possible. Sounds like they already made their deal though.

All this talk got me to thinking, What about having a females only unit or hunt? Then the guys could apply to guide them. They'd promote hunting with females and make more money for wildlife managment off the guys applications for guiding/helping them too.

WH,

The truth is, you were only half right. Thats a fact. If you were so worried about the being half right...why didnt you pm me and ask me what facts you were missing???

Theres at least 14 things you didnt find in your research that makes that unit a particularly good tag to have. I wont be putting what that is on the board here, but I assure you IB and Moosie know.

Before you go calling me a liar about your sleuthing abilities being half right...you better get your facts straight. I wasnt lying about anything...it was the truth...and still is the truth.

Nice to know you'd be willing to spread around someones hunting area on "every hunting board on the net" just because you dont have your facts straight.

Again...points right straight to your character.

Keep going WH...you've just about lost all credibility.

Be a man and admit you were wrong.

By the way, after further review...your sleuthing ability was only actually 1/3rd right.

Man, where have I been? I skipped over this thread for several days thinking it was just the normal "I didn't draw a tag" thread. I decided to read it today since it was up to 5 pages...boy, I feel like the guy that shows up at the city park 5 minutes after the high school fight...missed all the "live" excitement. I blame it all on Utah and Arizona though...by having the early draws, now we'll have to go through this each time results are posted and it will last much longer this year...Bryce, I hope you don't draw Arizona... :D

Congrats on the tags guys. XX-XX must be a real good unit...I just wish I would have been here a few days ago before the real unit numbers got deleted... Some people just have nothing that is sacred to them, so it's hard for them to understand how others would need to "protect" something so valuable. It happens all the time and it's a great way to learn a little more about someones character...

I really liked this quote though..."Moosie even went so far as to not even want to post a picture of an elk if he kills one and tell everyone they both got skunked." Already covering his bases...that Moosie is a thinker. This way when he really does get skunked, he can say, "Remember, I'm not going to post a picture because of all the dust that got stirred up last spring..." :p

Good luck guys!

Corey

WH...looks to me like:

The only reason I wanted to know the area was so I could stop by and get a free beer from Moosie. All I know is it is withing the boundry's of the 9th largest state in the US which is good enough for me.

The above quote is from the WY F&G site. Note the part where it says 'your' name, etc... I'm guessing a law or rule may have been bent (or worse) by folks typing in others info to get at the unit. Just something to think about.

Moosie- I agree wholeheartedly with your last post! I really confused a guy that showed me a few areas for COW elk by emailing him and asking him if I could apply for that unit the next year. Guess some folks aren't used to somethings being 'sacred' anymore.

Ib, so I am a lazy ass now huh? Like you said, you dont know who the hell I am. So you surely shouldnt guess that someone can out shoot me. Maybe I will invite you to a shoot with your favorite rifle so I can take that too.

As for this whole thread, it was a big deal to a lot of guys here as to what area someone drew. Well its covered in the freedom of information act. Try reading it.

Where I hunt deer was in eastern Wa. No monster whitetail there. Elk, central Wa. GMU 252 spike only unless drawn for branch antler, or antler less. So you are not going to find any monster trophy's here. But you would be sore fully wrong to think someone may out shoot me. And just to fill you in a little U.S Army 87-97 during which time I was instructor trainer of BRM, 3x first place sniper Ft. Bragg, 2x 3rd place 1x 4th. So your theory of out shooting me I doubt. Hell, I think that I have shot more rounds in one day than you may have in 1 year. Or some of you combined in 1 year.
So the comparison of how many big game animals someone has shot, has been shot out of the water. I will ask you or any of you this, how many men have you shot? And did the rush of adrenaline of being shot back at make you get on target? Leave the shooting question out of this little argument.

Buzz, you dont know me from Jack and for you to come right off the handle and call me a Douche Bag was your mistake. I know for a fact that the area that WH and myself have now found is the area that you told Oscar and IB to put in for. Yes the area is large and by picking that area alone does not mean I or anyone else would be hunting your little honey holes. SO WHAT. Its a GMU just like the thousands of other GMU's in this country. Keep up the name calling and I will ask every Tom Dick and Harry I know to place that GMU on there wish list. Dont believe me and any hunting/fishing forum you go to will have it posted. Yes I am that way. Doubt me.

How about this in Oscars backyard this summer. You could win someones guns or bows. Maybe MtMiller would put up his collection of BBW porn for his challenger?

OK, I thought about it, and my thoughts are that that is a mighty big stretch of the imagination, to think that there would be a law against looking up who drew what hunt on the internet. If there is such a law, well I suppose the police will be knocking on my door anytime now. I'm worried. I wonder, if there is such a law, how do the outfitters always get the names and addresses of hunters who drew the good units?

Cameron Dunce...or should I say Sniper bob,

You do whatever you want.

For the record, you go right ahead and tell whoever you want about the unit in question.

I couldnt care less, really I couldnt. You see...if you were really good at research...which you obviously arent...you'd realize that unless you have 2 preference points you're pretty much shit out of luck in Wyoming for a tough elk, deer, or antelope tag. Of the 25% of available tags...75% go to the top point holders. Good luck next year...you and your buddies will be about 80 by the time you draw.

Secondly, 25% of the tags are available to NR's...as a resident I dont compete for NR tags. The Resident draw odds have stayed nearly the same for years. I've applied there a couple times...applied other areas too...and there are no points for residents.

Thirdly, you wouldnt be any competition to me in the field...and that is a fact.

You posting it has no effect on my hunting at all.

You would be screwing the owner of the board though and one of his buddies...that you may want to consider. But beings how you've now removed all doubt that you are a douche-bag, I dont doubt that you'd continue to be a low-life chicken shit and crap on the owner of the board.

You're a real stand-up guy and a model citizen...as well as a fine example of a sportsman.

Congratulations.

Probably like Cameron suggests, using the FOIA, which requires a formal request to be granted. Just because information can be provided through FOIA doesn't mean that is a free for all...
