Wyoming pronghorn unit options

Like others have said, their plan your hunt feature is really awesome. Other states could learn a thing or two. If you choose 21 feel free to PM me

Thank you everyone! With what all I've heard I think it best to wait and build up a few more points. I've decided to take him on a cow elk hunt next year instead. I greatly appreciate everyone taking time to respond to my post.

You could always put in for the best unit and hope you get lucky in the random Better than not applying in my opinion

I'm looking to take my son on his first western hunt next year. We will only have an average of 2 points, so I know my options are limited. Does anyone have any recommendations for which unit might have the best public access? Or perhaps how to go about finding private ground to get access to? I'm not looking for trophies, just a fun experience for us.
I would look at areas with the most Walk In areas and then work on private property access. It took me years to get permissions I got for private land and not revealing those for obvious reasons. But go to the game and fish website and look at the walk in areas. You will see other hunters but generally I taq out every year except recently when I encountered road hunters and went home.

i wouldn't let the $1200 tag worry you. only live once. i went to montana by myself 2 years ago. $250 tag. all expenses, motel, food, gas on me. i was out $1800. came home with a good buck and some birds to boot. i could take 2 people with me to wyoming on the $1200 tag with its better draw odds and we all spend the same as i did in montana solo.
