I would look at areas with the most Walk In areas and then work on private property access. It took me years to get permissions I got for private land and not revealing those for obvious reasons. But go to the game and fish website and look at the walk in areas. You will see other hunters but generally I taq out every year except recently when I encountered road hunters and went home.I'm looking to take my son on his first western hunt next year. We will only have an average of 2 points, so I know my options are limited. Does anyone have any recommendations for which unit might have the best public access? Or perhaps how to go about finding private ground to get access to? I'm not looking for trophies, just a fun experience for us.
