Wyoming Pronghorn adventures

Different buck in the first post.... we called him "Average Joe"... and I concur that he was high 70's. Almost confused the two once and brought "Average Joe" home with the bow. Similar looking from the side.. a little shorter on prong and length, prong lower on the horn. There's a real grainy picture of flair in post 47...

It is amazing how similar the horns are on those 2. Same flared prongs, both have the little nubs on the inside of the horn, even the left prong turning a little more inward than back on both of them. I thought it was the same animal.

Looking at the live shot of Mr. Flair he is taller than the one in the first post though. Always hard to compare trophy shots with live shots because the ears are droopy in the trophy shots.

This thread really shows how to go about getting a B&C animal. Scout, scout, scout and then scout some more. It also helps to pick a decent unit to start. It really shows how the guys that end up with big animals on the ground year after year do it. Hard work!

Of course then there are guys like me that shoot the first legal bull they see on opening morning in a general unit and it happens to be B&C. But that was strictly luck! :D

Congratulations again.

Congrats on your hunt, success and being able to share with friends and family. This was a great thread!

Just some more shots from the adventure now that I have had time to download...

Awesome buck!
Congrats to all.
Great thread - thanks for creating it! Well done.

Way to walk us thru sneakem...good on you for getting the young'ns out for the field seminar.

Nice work both with the hunt and story telling. Oh and of course the great pictures.

I don't know if I could of passed on that many bucks especially "Funkalope" he would make a cool looking wall hanger.

Love the pics of the boys packing out! I too am starting to teach my son that when you hunt there's necessary work to be done. Well done on all accounts!

Wow great work.
You really put in your time and it shows.
I think the kids appreciated all the "life lessons" learned along your journey as well.
Oh yeah and kudos on a great buck too!

Great buck. Even better story telling! This was one of the most suspenseful stories I have read on here. Nice job!

Great story, and it reminds me again how bad I am at judging lopes.
