Got that one officially scored. Gross 86 5/8. Net 85 2/8.

He really wasn’t that long or that wide but he was quite the specimen.

My brother killed the buck on right years ago. I half boiled the skull for him, never taking the horns off, and it hung in the garage rafters for a few years. Finally got around to finishing cleaning it up and having him officially scored. 82 6/8" net IIRC. His name is now in the book. The third circumference measurement falls below the prong. The B&C scorer (the same one who apparently couldn't read the tape while scoring Buzz's mule deer) said that had I removed the horns to begin with and taken care of it properly, it probably would have scored a few inches higher...as the horns had shrunk so much.

I once decoyed an antelope that looked like that. He couldn’t resist me using a buck decoy and making it hump the doe decoy. He came right in.

That was a fun day...the dried blood from the arrow was still on his shoulder on the opener of rifle season.(2010)
If I recall, you killed an 80 incher with your bow on the way home that day.
