WY buck

Very nice!!! Hope you didn't use up all your luck! Please bring the turtleneck next week... ;)

Nice buck. What's he rubbing on in that stuff to get that color on his antlers?

congrats Oak.....beautiful buck.

The pack out wasn't really that bad, I'm just a wimp. I had to take him up that hill behind me, about 550 yards and 600 feet in elevation gain. Then down the other side, through a small valley and up the opposite side to the truck. I packed him in 2 loads (once again, because I'm a wimp) and stashed one at the top of the first hill to retrieve the next morning, as I got back to the truck with the first load at about 7:45.

Nice deer Oak. Whats next?

Elk in Colorado this weekend. Was going to go back up and try to get a bull in WY this week, but decided to be responsibly domestic instead. I might go up in Nov. or Dec. for a cow.

I'm not sure, but that hillside was primarily mountain mahogany. I'm assuming that's what it was. I've killed a couple of other really dark-antlered bucks in similar habitat.

Thanks for the comments.

Great buck Oak. I love eye guards on muleys and that one definitely has them! Congratulations.
