Are you starting to learn that elections have consequences yet?

They do. Washington has had an additional $1+ in fees and taxes on every gallon of fuel since I can remember (as far back as 2019).

This little Iranian side quest ain’t helping, I’ll be the first to admit it’s completely unnecessary. At least in Washington it’s not totally honest to blame it all on the Iranian situation.

Just heard on the news, national average price of diesel hit $5.94...new record. Up 7 cents overnight.

The citizens voted to keep the gas tax at the last election, although the benefits of said gas tax were not accurately represented.

Regarding the $5k, presently the GOP controls every branch of government. They could send the $5k out before the election, if the economy is as Tump portrays.

It does not surprise me that the way he framed it is the most brazen vote buying scheme I can recall. And if it was warranted, why should it hinge on a particular party being in the majority.

Meanwhile diesel hit $5.849/gallon in Laurel today.

Diesel doesn't cost me a dime! I parked both the trucks. Dozers sit side by side in deep sleep. Kubota gets about 25 mpg and will run on the 100 gals red I bought a few months ago. Fuggit, I'm now Ofisshally retired.
