While I agree with your thoughts on who is successful. I want to zero in on this statement not to single you out but as a soapbox talking point. There is 0 blanket statement here as both produce amazing humans so don't take this as anything other than that.
To me success in business or income has little to do with who is amazing. The Bible will tell you this in many ways but the average American is just star struck by wealth.
I don't honestly care if someone is a successful business man as they often don't know when to stop focusing on their own success and when to start improving life for the constituents. I want elected officials who are GOOD PEOPLE.
Think about this. If you had to choose between these two qualities for your child would you want them to be extremely successful or for them to be an amazing human who is loved by everyone they meet?
We are being sold a long line of people who are personally successful and terrible people. That has not been translating to good outcomes for middle America.
Perhaps if we can find some exceptionally good people who are willing to lead us for our benefit we can turn things around. Im talking about the guy who "would give you the shirt off of his back". If you find that politician vote for them.
