Definitely not another one out there like this....

My wife and kids wanted to get me a rifle to take on my hunts - however my wife has always said she has trouble picking them out because I am too particular. So she told me to get what I wanted and then give it to her and the kids (8 and 9 years). This is how it turned out:

Started as a Red Hawk Rifle in 300WM put together by Les and his crew. Shoots .472" @ 100 and sub-moa at 300 using Barnes bullets. The rifle is way beyond my abilities but its' nice to know the rifle is capable if I do my part. It wears a VX6 3-18x44.

The kids each drew a picture on the stock and my wife added her sketch of my first elk. The kids also gripped the stock with paint on their hands as if they were the ones shooting.

Heading solo and unguided to New Mexico next week to see if I can find this rifle its' first elk.

My wife nor kids will probably never read this but if they do - thank you. This is an incredibly special rifle for me.

Great caliber, and one beautiful rifle. What an incredibly thoughtful gift from your family! Good luck in NM next week.
