No offense, but the trailer wheels should be red...![]()
I bought about the lowest trim I could get when I bought mine (F150 XL) but had a couple must haves.....4x4, locker, 8 foot bed, extended cab, V8. It took me 6-8 months to find it. When I did, it was in OH at a dealership that clears out "over orders" so it had the alloy wheels and chrome that is nice but I didn't care about. Bought it just before covid so I paid 10k BELOW sticker.....aaah those were the days. Could probably STILL sell it for close to what I paid.I haven't looked, but can a truck with no frills and just things a truck should have be available? From any manufacturer? mtmuley
only 120k![]()

You could buy an OTC archery deer tag fly into Wenatch-a-snatch, experience a rather shitty public land mule deer rut hunt, and drive back!
That age, one winter here that thing would disintegrate before my eyes. That'd be a sin. I've got a '98 (was my grandpa's) only comes out for the occasional trip during the summer. Spent many opening mornings of deer season in that truck.only 120k![]()

Im leaning more toward a 3/4 ton mostly for this reason. Wife and I were talking it over tonight. I've got 6.5 bed now. I can't remember ever thinking man sure am glad this truck isn't any longer. However I wish all the time ilthat I had more room for shit. Ain't no way I'd ever go to the 5.5' model which seems like about all you can find in a 1500 these days.8 foot bed
I can. I drove an 8’ for a long time. Love the 6.5, but I drive differently than you.I can't remember ever thinking man sure am glad this truck isn't any longer.
Mountains?I can. I drove an 8’ for a long time. Love the 6.5, but I drive differently than you.
Yes. 20 point turns. Lack of clearance over washouts.Mountains?
The length is something you have to account for, BUT, I have taken it places 95% truck owners will never see.....especially since I put it on 35s (with only the 2in level),the locker and full RCI skid plates. Like I said, it took a WHILE of interweb searching just to find what I wanted. I had a Tacoma a bit ago and it was a great truck but had the little bed and I was annoyed by it on the regular. All of my old "hunting" trucks had 8ft beds and it is a must have for me. Putting 8ft lumber in the bed and having it hangout is never something I am interested in again.Im leaning more toward a 3/4 ton mostly for this reason. Wife and I were talking it over tonight. I can see that.Yes. 20 point turns. Lack of clearance over washouts.
I've had pretty much every length there is. In wyoming few days ago I thought man a compact truck would sure be nice. Then I got no cargo room. Definitely no perfect size at least not for me.I can. I drove an 8’ for a long time. Love the 6.5, but I drive differently than you.
Shit... Ever try to park at home Depot on a Saturday?Yes. 20 point turns. Lack of clearance over washouts.
That would be a $15k truck in Indianaonly 120k![]()

I had the same struggle. I was looking for a used, 100k or under, 6.5' crew cab. It was tough to find, but I am glad I found it!
