Truck stolen, feelin down

Having something stolen just leaves a guy feeling low down..We had a tandem axle utility trailer stolen from us a couple years back and I can only imagine how sick you must feel. Im guessing it'll turn up, seems like most thieves aren't the brightest. We recovered our trailer a year and a half later, 5 hours away. The thief had sold it and new owner hadn't put plates on it since it was primarily just used around the farm.

I would be searching Facebook market place far and wide.

I will be for sure. Thanks

You might get it back
I've had two stolen and got them both back. One, an 84 Ranger, was stolen from the school parking lot when I was in high school. A day or two later, it was found with only some speakers missing.
The second was about 5 years ago. I left it in my front yard and forgot the keys in it. The next morning, we went for a bike ride at daylight. When I turn on my road returning from the ride there is police at the neighbors. As we get closer I see my truck is gone. Some paranoid methhead thinking someone is after him had crossed the backyards of several neighbors, stopped on one of their carports and took off his outer clothes and proceeded down the road checking door handles. The neighbor's kid came out to get on the school bus and saw clothes lying there, so they checked the camera and had him on video. They put the license plate into some tag reader system, and by lunch they got a scan of it pulling into a casino parking lot. I never knew they had so many tag readers around. The guy was a felon, so they kept my pistol that was in the truck as evidence, and I never got it back.

When I graduated from college I was dispatching at the Sheriff's Dept waiting for a Deputy slot to open up. It was the county over from where I lived so it was about a 20 mile trip one way. The FIRST new ANYTHING I bought was a 91 Yamaha FZR 600 it was my baby and USUALLY lived in a storage garage close to my apartment. The day before I had been out late so it was at the apartment in the morning. It was rainy out, so I took my pos car to work. Got home to find the bike wasn't there. My roommate's car was there so I thought maybe his wouldn't start and he had to get to work.....would be pissed but oh well (fraternity brother I trusted). Got upstairs to find my keys on my dresser. Took a couple of minutes to register. Long story short(er), some ghetto rat had stolen it in broad daylight. About 2 weeks later, while street racing, he t-boned a car doing over 100. Became a human missile and turned into a grease spot when he landed. A buddy at the responding PD gave me the report and I got a good chuckle out of it. One of the females in his office (at the PD) knew the dirtbags family and tried to give me grief. I explained to her in a raised voice what I thought of him, his family, his final destination and what I thought should be done with his grave. I went to the tow yard to look at it and the ONLY thing recognizable was the rear tire. I only had that bike a few months but I loved it, that was the first time in my life I EVER had anything, of any type, that was really nice and new. Just another step toward being jaded and skeptical...... ;/

Sometimes stolen car is taken somewhere else and thoroughly searched, firearms taken, and then abandoned. Or taken for 2-3 days to commit other crimes, and abandoned. Or some kid or person with mental illness takes it, and it gets noticed very quickly. Worst case scenario they wreck the thing or try and destroy it, for whatever reason.

I had the same pos truck stolen twice. The cops find it, have it towed, and let me know about 2 weeks later. I told the tow yard to keep it the 2nd time. Storage fees add up. Hope your truck is in good shape.
