Sunday Pic of the Day

Funny how guys go all out for fir. Lodgepole has heated my house for a long time. mtmuley
Same here and dead standing trees near the road were easy at one time to find, cut, and load. Nowadays require many miles to get a pickup load.
Older and wiser, the log truck now brings the load and the hydraulic splitter saves my shoulders.

Miles into the woods my dirt bike died in a big mud puddle. Sitting in the puddle after trying for 10 minutes to get her started, I noticed my phone was no longer on the Quad Lock. Gone! After pushing it up hill out of the pond-like puddle, sliding on the wet red clay, I started troubleshooting. Eventually figured out it was the plug. Got the plug changed and bike started right up. Started the search for my phone.

Google "find my phone" showed the last ping about 4 miles away, but it hadn't pinged since. That got me to the right trail, but no phone at the spot Google said it was. No ping meant it fell off and broke; or did it? What if it fell off in another deep puddle? Pings are intermittent deep in these hills, so it could be a mile or more further up the trail.

Rode about a half mile up the trail to a puddle where I had to drag the bike out earlier in the day. Reached into the water and my hand landed directly on the phone! Dandy!
