Sunday Pic of the Day

Wife booked some last minute tickets to Forrest Frank concert in Raleigh. Left work early and took the two oldest, when I got in the area I realized bass pro was right there so I stopped by first to buy some rain pants for my Father's Day gift. Today has been great with only 2.5 hours of sleep, didn't get home until 0200.

It’ll be nice to see another Stanley Cup Champion banner hanging in that arena soon!

Yeah. It gets a little more involved doing it that way. It's to the point I have to where I cut. mtmuley
I hear you. Its not easy finding a load. Ive been traveling upwards of 2 hours in every direction. Forced to look one click farther than what most people are willing to pack logs. Felt like I got lucky yesterday and today, found a pocket of dead trees 50-70 yards from truck.
I enjoy the process but starting to contemplate a log truck load dumped on my property.

Defeat. No, seriously I understand. I still enjoy it. Log lengths might get smaller. I cut to 80 inches. (Yeah breaking the rules) We'll see. Headed up on Sunday. mtmuley

Log truck is pretty awesome way to go. 2-3 years worth in one shot. They’ve gotten so expensive though

Yeah, im thinking with current fuel prices I will stick with my routine.
Kinda stubborn, not ready to throw in the towel. Get your own meat, get your own wood type attitude.
I kill elk where I cut these trees. Something satisfying about that. mtmuley
