When's the last time you saw one around home @Dave N? My guess is someone let some go.
First time for the boys. It's been a long, long time.![]()

Wow. Really remarkable finds!Breaking the rules again, because again I found some surprises on the card when I was cleaning it up. These would have been throwaways except I noticed when scrolling through that, like the gadwall above, they are both banded. That's 3 random banded birds in a month.

Was a crazy crosswind when we landed in Atlanta today, one of the squirreliest landings I've been on, Coastie that was with me said he was glad he wasn't landing one the Hercs.Swinging around to land into the north at DIA. For sure a former Navy carrier based pilot based on the attack angle and hard braking on touchdown. (Former AF dude here!)View attachment 402441
Beautiful evening for a front range flyby
“I can’t wait to come back!”
We saw one in October 2023 at 8500-9000 ft in the White River National Forest in Colorado.View attachment 402411

Saw these yesterday. About 50 of them. Could have grabbed one by the neck almost. Private property I could maybe get access to. Not so sure I want an easy turkey. mtmuley
One of our jobsites. 300 plus acres on the West Fork of the Root. mtmuleyLooks like you’ve already gained the access![]()
That is for sure. My daughter started as a teen when she first owned Pete, her Belgian. She helped horse log around the cabin, as we took out 200 Doug fir to mitigate a spruce budworm infestation and to reduce fire potential. She went on to compete in NW Draft Horse Show competition in Sand Point, then ended up teaching driving and horsemanship at MSU. Photo below is her with a friend's team used in skidding logs.View attachment 402539
Training her to drive. Its way harder than looks being a teamster.
