They're back! Our elk herd has been MIA for maybe 6 weeks. Nobody has seen them anywhere until yesterday morning. There they were just off the county road heading for water and green grass. I'll bet they wander in here in the next few days.

Spotted a bald eagle while out kayaking on the lake this morning.



And this family of ducks entertained me for quite awhile. Momma had 9 babies with her.

Yup. I'll pull a camera chip tomorrow and near guarantee there's going to be a little pencil head, a REALLY nice Forky and a 3 point all still in velvet.
The bulls are sorting out the ladies and will be doing the deed shortly.
